Cylindrical plankton cell with spines as stereoscopic 3D view
Single-cell organism with asymmetric distribution of spines. Cell shape is yellow-brown, chloroplasts are shown in red and the cell nucleus is blue. Attached to the spines are symbiotic nanoflagellates (green).
