In a reconstruction from molecular structure data the full structure of a human nuclear pore complex is shown. Nuclear pores act as gates for molecules between cell nucleus and cytoplasma. The image was reconstructed from data by Jan Kosinski and co-workers at EMBL. It was visualized by Jan K. and Elmar Spreer and used in the publication in Science 352 (6283).
