Mammography is an effective screening tool for early signs of cancer. Recording a mammogram is a simple harmless medical imaging procedure using X-ray. The images are evaluated for abnormal tissue structures by experienced radiologists. Additional ultrasound images and breast MRI are recorded if the mammogram is abnormal.
